Symptoms Men Should Not Ignore

Men are at risk for more "eventful" health problems. This is mainly because of the stress they are under to take care of the family. (I am a woman writing this, but I am giving credit where credit is due) .Men are tough guys (even though they cry over a cold), so why don't they go to the doctor?Okay, so we all know that most men aren't as likely to go to a Dr. We also know that most men can't take as much pain as a woman. ie; childbirth. However; now isn't the time to joke around when it comes to you or (your man). There are a lot of symptoms a man can have that can either be just an overworked pain, or an over-looked pain/symptom.

  1. Painful Urination

  2. Severe Back Pain

  3. Sudden Groin Pain

  4. Sharp Stomach Pain

  5. Leg Pain/Swelling

  6. Chest Pain

Painful Urination

When you relieve yourself, does it hurt? Is there a tinted color to your urine? If so, you may want to give your Dr. a call as soon as possible. Could be a bladder infection yes, but you can't always be sure. If you smoke, you have a higher chance of bladder cancer.

Severe Back Pain

If you feel some agony in your back, and you didn't lift anything heavy or just exercise, and it's a severe pain It COULD be a sign of an aneurysm. It also could be a kidney stone, which is horribly painful. There are medications and a surgical procedure to fix if it is an aneurysm.

Sudden Groin Pain

If you feel like you have just been kicked (not quite that hard) in the groin, and/or swelling, it could be a testicular torsion which is a twisting of the spermatic cord that cuts off blood supply. If it is a torsion, and you get to the Dr. within 4 to 6 hours, the testicle can be saved normally. Another possibility for the pain could be an infection of the epididymis, (which is were your sperm is stored)

Sharp Stomach Pain

Do you feel like you have just been stabbed in the gut with a knife? Shot in the abdomen? Does it feel like the pain is coming from "within?" If so, these could be symptoms of an inflamed gall bladder, pancreatitis, appendicitis, or something else.

Leg Pain or Swelling

Symptoms of these things may need to cause you to see your doctor. Pain in your calf, warm feeling on the inside of your calf, sore to touch. This could be a sign of a DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) . If this happens, it means a blood clot formed.

Chest Pain (Transient)

A chest pain that comes on suddenly like a heavy ache, and then goes away suddenly is called a transient chest pain. It could be indigestion or worse, a heart attack. Even if it's short duration, it could be a sign of a heart attack. About 50 percent of heart attack deaths come from the first 3 to 4 hours of the first symptom.
