Two And A Half Men Cast With Charlie Sheen

Two and A Half Men Was A Great Show

Okay, let me tell you first of all, that I was an absolute huge fan of Two And A Half Men. I know it's a sexist show and the innuendos are something to be more than enough, but it made me laugh. Not much cheers me up lately and this was about the only time I actually cracked up. This was all when Charlie was playing, well, Charlie. I am trying to do an update on this every couple weeks to see how things are coming along with any comments, or any updates or thoughts I may have. I have an update on the latest show. I am so glad Evelyn gets thrown in once in a while, but not enough of the characters are being played.

Charlie Sheen - Not Winning

"NOT Winning"

Charlie Sheen Hears: Your Fired!

Again, the drama continued with Charlie. It seemed as if he was never coming back to planet Earth. When I found out he was fired from the show, I was concerned some, but figured it was probably just a ploy or a threat. No threat, just plain ole' YOUR FIRED, that's it, your done, don't come back. Uh oh, now what? My favorite show, the only one that made me laugh, was done.

Replacement

Ashton Kutcher was either going to replace Charlie or something. No one really knew what was going to happen until the first episode. When I saw the funeral, I honestly thought that it was going to be a temporary thing. After all, Rose is nuts and could have faked his death or lock him away in a closet, and say he died. Gee, that's a great idea to bring him back if you ask me! Anyway, I watched the first episode. Walden, (Ashton), walking stark naked at the end of the show, just made me think, "what, why, and that was ignorant." Second episode, thought I'd give it a shot. Well, did nothing for me. Third, fourth, fifth...forget it. I give up. Judith is pretty much gone, Rose, Evelyn, all the favorites are so far and few between, that I am done.

Reruns

Thank goodness for reruns and Tivo. I can pretty much tell you what they are going to say next, but at least I still chuckle now and then. I am not sure what Lorre did with the writing, but it's stupid. If you like the show now, that's great and your opinion. I do NOT agree with Sheens attitude, his drug use and whatever else he was doing. For some reason, most of us overlook people's addictions and problems for our own benefit, and that's sad too.

What Happened?

Well, when Charlie Sheen decided to pull all his sheen-anigans, it was funny at first, then it was almost mesmerizing. After everyone pretty much figured out he really had a problem then it wasn't funny anymore. ( to me anyway). I was actually scared for this guy. He was a once TV icon, to a TV moron. His shameless acts of being a nut job was almost enough to scare you to think anyone can even act like that (on drugs or not). All I could do when it got to that point, was pray for Charlie and hope to God he lived through all this.

Updated after about 6 episodes of New Two Men

Okay, I am still giving it a chance. It is getting somewhat better, but still not the same without Charlie no matter which way I look at it. I miss Judith and Evelyn, and Herb. They really made the show as well. I think Alan is the only one who is making me hold on for dear life. I think there is a little chemistry between Walden and Zoey, but I see no chemistry at all between Alan and Lyndsey. I honestly don't like her at all (on the show of course).

My favorite episode and the one I actually true heartedly laughed at was the one where Alan was sliding down the hill in the rain storm. That was hilarious and I think that was the best episode yet. Again, it was Alan who made me laugh, but Walden was a little funnier that episode as well. I will keep watching and hoping it continues to get better, but no more running to the TV on Mondays to watch. If we remember, we remember. I DVR the show in case I get bored and have nothing to watch, but still giving it a chance.

Episode March 19, 2012

When Evelyn was on the program tonight and Lyndsey's mother, that was hilarious. Them two had a great chemistry together on the show last night which made it actually laughable again. I am so trying to continue to watch. Although some of the episodes I don't really care for, but they are getting somewhat better.

New or Reruns

Just Curious as to whether you watch the new epidodes or the old reruns

  • Love the new shows, didn't like Charlie
  • Watch both, hoping the new one gets better
  • Refuse to watch the new shows, I only watch the old reruns
  • Hated the show period. Refuse to watch it

Thanks for your input Marlene. I gave up, but still watch when I'm bored. Big Bang Theory is funnier than Two Men. I do love that show.

The one show my husband and I both looked forward to watching was the original version of Two and a Half Men with Charlie Sheen. Like you, that show made us laugh out loud every episode. I like Ashton Kutcher, but not in this show. I tried watching it two times and never made it past the first 15 minutes each time. The humor was not there and some of the scenes were nauseating. At first, I thought it was a ploy - that the writers must be writing bad scripts just to make the new show a flop. Then the producers would have to bring Charlie back to save the day. But, that never happened. I just can't give it another try. I'm sure I'll never watch the new edition again. I do, however, watch reruns of the original series.

I just am irritated at the whole thing. I blame Sheen for ruining my Mondays

Two and a Half Men is truly terrible. It was awful with Sheen and although they're trying, Kutcher isn't funny. He's actually less funny than Sheen, and Sheen was horrid.
