Amazing-Samsung Mesmerize Was Good Switch for Me

At first, I was a little overwhelmed at all you can do on the phone. I am still learning and have had it for a month. But, the good news is, is that anyone can pretty much figure it out as long as you can read. I absolutely love this phone. I can watch movies *but I have Netflix, so I watch Netflix movies instead of paying 3.99 for one off the app*. Watching the movies or Tv shows, is almost better than watching it from the television. Great quality. You may want to use the earphone buds that come with the phone so you can hear better. The speaker is on the back of the phone, and you are watching it from the front. That's what I've been doing and seems to work great. *Please remember to be connected to your Wifi when watching a movie* Takes a lot of data to watch one movie. When I had my blackberry, it didn't have flash capability, and therefore; watching Youtube was a nightmare unless you downloaded the Youtube flash or something. My son had the Mesmerize, and he could do anything with it. It was time for an upgrade and so I traded in my belief points with U.S Cellular and made the switch. I can't believe I ever loved my Blackberry after having this.

Mesmerize Practically Replaces My Computer

I hardly have to get on my laptop any longer, as this does just about everything I need to do. I would never go back to my Blackberry even if you paid me. And, let me tell you, I thought I had it all when I had the Blackberry. Blackberry's don't have flash so it was even hard to watch a Youtube video unless you had the Youtube extension.

There are a few cons like there is to any phone. My Blackberry would last a good couple days before I had to throw it on a charger. Well, be prepared, especially for a good couple weeks after you get the Mesmerize, to find a wall charger. You will play with it all day for a while, and the battery doesn't last all day. I usually throw it on a charger now at least twice a day, or if I watch a movie, soon there after.

Cons Of Having A Smartphone

The phone does freeze at times, and you will be pulling out your battery to reboot the phone, but it's not as bad as it seems. If you want the good stuff, you have to sacrifice. My sister has an Iphone, and I played with her phone while she was here on Christmas, and I love my phone better. I don't like the Iphone at all and I told her that. She wanted my phone. This is strictly my opinion, so please don't go out and buy one because I suggested it, I am just giving you my honest review.

My phone came with a 16 gig SD card (which is a ton). The picture quality is far the best I have ever seen. I take more pictures with my phone than I do with my Kodak Digital because the quality is so much better. It has a flash on the phone, so if you are in a darker area, no problem at all. There are so many things and apps on the phone, It would take me pages to type it all out.

Must Have Apps- Great Apps For Mesmerize I Have Found

So, you have the phone and now you are needing to know what apps you can get or need. Here are just a few that are perfect. These apps are FREE

  • Tiny Flashlight-Totally awesome flashlight. Even has a "shake to turn on" feature
  • Swiss Army Knife-This is the coolest thing yet. Has a compass, a ruler, a level and more
  • Angry Birds -Addicting!
  • Where's my Droid-Great app if you lose your phone!
  • Poynt-Finds directions, yellow pages, white pages, movies..etc.
  • Tinyshark-Amazing free downloads of music. Almost every song you can think of
  • Netflix-If you aren't a member, I would join. It's 7.99 a month and it's for your computer, tv and mobile phone
  • Barcode scanner-Great for scanning barcodes on items and comparing prices
  • Radio Reference-Excellent police scanner, weather radio. Love this scanner especially for bad weather or when you hear ambulances go by and your family is out driving!

These are just the ones I have or know people that have these apps and I haven't got to them yet. There are thousands upon thousands of apps for this phone. Of course, you don't want to download them all, but this phone is just amazing. I love it, (in case you can't tell)
